How Our Process Works

  1. Setup Account.
    1. You must first read and agree to the Privacy Policy and complete the online registration form.
      1. 1.Fill in all of the required information, includes your contact information such as name, mailing address, shipping address, phone numbers and local pharmacy if applicable.
      2. Please be sure we have your correct email address, phone number(s) and Skype ID. This will ensure that all correspondences, notices, etc.. are received and video conference sessions can be conducted.
    2. Fill out the medical questionnaire with information pertaining to the medical condition for which you are being consulted.
  2. Fax or Upload All Recent as well as Past Medical Records.
    1. In order to comply with legal guidelines, you must fax or upload (prior to consultation) your medical records showing evidence of your diagnosed condition for which you are being consulted for and medication prescribed for.
      1. You are required to have at least 1 Face to Face office visit per year with your chosen PCP provider. All records MUST contain a date, doctor’s diagnosis, prescribed medication and doctor’s signature. Please be aware that MRI's and X-Rays are NOT sufficient alone. They must accompany office visit documentation.
    2. We also require a copy of a photo ID and the Personal Identification form completed and signed. When photocopying this, please enlarge 200% and use the lightest setting and then fax on fine resolution. This will help prevent your ID from coming through black and you having to refax. You want your photocopied ID to be on the light side because when faxing, it always comes through darker. So if it looks too light to you, then it will come through perfect on our end.
    3. Please use the AvantMeds fax cover page and fax all records to 866- 895-5516. Please be sure your fax is clearly marked with your name and number of pages.
  3. Payment
    1. A.Payment for Face to Face Exams, Video Conference or Telephone Consults are by Credit Card Only. MC & Visa are Accepted.
  4. Account Review
    1. Once all required information is given and medical records faxed over, Customer Service will review your account for completion.
    2. If we need further information from you, we will contact you by phone or via e-mail.
    3. Failure to provide required information will slow the processing of your account.
  5. Scheduling a Face to Face Exam or Video Conference/Telephone Consultation
    1. Once Customer Service has received and verified all information, we will notify you by email that you are now able to schedule an exam or consultation. You can then log into your account from the member’s page and can schedule your exam or consultation.
  6. Receiving a Video Conference or Telephone Consultation
    1. At the appointment time set up by you, you will receive a private, one-on-one Video Conference or Telephone consultation from our medical staff. Please make sure that your Video Conference application is up and running properly, prior to your appointment time.
    2. This is your time to review your situation and have any questions answered.
    3. If your consult time is scheduled say between 10-11, please note that you may be called at 10 or closer to 11. We will try our best to have your call between the time scheduled, but please note that while giving everyone the proper time for their consult, sometimes we run behind.
    4. All exam and consult times are Local Standard Times.
  7. Filling an Order
    1. After your exam or consultation, your approved prescription will be forwarded to the pharmacy of choice to be filled. If there are any problems in filling this order, you will be contacted by phone or email, whichever is deemed necessary.
  8. Reconsulting
    1. Your member’s page should contain the date of your next suggested consult date. This is the suggested date to reconsult so that there is no lapse in your refills. This does not mean your next consult is automatically set for that date.
    2. At this time, if your account has been cleared, you click schedule consult, proceed through, and you are all set. If you are reconsulting, your records have obviously been approved. You do not need to refax.

What does AvantMeds.com offer?

What is the Face To Face Exam fee?

The fee for an in office exam doctor's is $275.00 US.

What is the Refill Consultation fee?

The current fee for consultations is $175.00 US.

What do I receive for my fee?

After sending in the required information, you will receive ain office examination and/or a one-on-one video cam/telephone consultation with the chosen physician. They will discuss your specific needs, answer any questions, and if deemed necessary, will write your prescription(s). They will also forward your prescription to your local pharmacy for filling.

What is our Privacy Statement?

All personal patient files, which contain the questionnaire, personal information, medical history/records, and payment method, remain secure and confidential. Your medical information is available only to the consulting doctor. All other generic information is also secure. We do not sell or trade your personal information. You can review the entire Privacy Policy any time from your members page.

What if I cancel the exam or consultation?

If you are unable to keep your appointment, you are required to reschedule another appointment within 72 hours. If you do not reschedule, your fee will be refunded minus an administration charge of $75. If you miss another appointment, your account will be closed. You will then need to setup a new account. What is the minimum age requirement?

You must be at least 21 years of age to order a consultation and medication from our site.

What is your Privacy Statement?

All personal patient files, which contain the questionnaire, personal information, medical history/records, and payment method, remain secure and confidential. Your medical information is available only to the consulting doctor. All other generic information is also secure. We do not sell or trade your personal information.

What happens if I forget my password?

Contact customer care via telephone or email. We will ask you for some information to verify whom we are speaking with.

What if the doctor requires additional records and I am unwilling to provide or unable to obtain them?

You will be told prior to your appointment if more records are needed. At this time, you will either agree to send them in or tell the staff you are unable to proceed. If unable to proceed in providing more documentation, let the staff know right then and there. The fee can be refunded at this time.
